Target Setting: State Performance Plan/Annual Performance Report (SPP/APR)

The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) requires each state to develop a State Performance Plan/Annual Performance Report (SPP/APR) that evaluates the state’s efforts to implement the requirements and purposes of the IDEA and describes how the state will improve its implementation. The SPP/APR includes 17 results indicators that measure child and family outcomes. Twelve of these indicators are performance-related measures, and five measure compliance with the requirements of the IDEA.

The Wyoming Department of Education (WDE) is seeking broad stakeholder input to assist in setting targets for students with disabilities receiving special education services. The feedback will inform the development of the 2021-2026 SPP/APR. The proposed targets for each of the required results indicators of the SPP are based on historical and projected data. Stakeholders are asked to review the information about each indicator and provide feedback via the corresponding “Submit Input” links.

Who should provide input? Parents of students with disabilities, individuals with disabilities, school district personnel, other educators, advocacy groups, the general public.  Deadline for submitting input: Dec. 17, 2021
