Jennifer S. Trujillo Bio
Jennifer S. Trujillo began her career as a Speech-Language Pathologist, graduating with her M.S. in Speech Pathology from the University of Wyoming. She worked for two years in a private practice setting and then worked for 14 years at the local Child Development Center (CDC). While at the CDC, she began working with the Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing children (ages birth-5) as an SLP, classroom teacher, and in-home service provider. She enjoyed working with this population so much that in 2012 she earned her M.A. in Special Education with an Emphasis in Deaf Education from the University of Arizona in Tucson.
In 2015, Jennifer went to work as an Itinerant Teacher of Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing in the local school district. She worked in this setting for nine years with children ages K-12 in a variety of schools and classroom settings. Jennifer loves all aspects of working with Deaf/HH children, but has a passion for language development (spoken and/or signed), listening, and speech.
Jennifer grew up in Wyoming and loves the wide open spaces! In her free time, she likes to spend time in nature gardening, going for walks, bird-watching, and sky-watching. She enjoys a good cup of coffee and a book, and likes cooking, baking, traveling, and spending time with her husband and three children.
